– Treatment of bacterial infections: abdominal, gynecological, septicemia, upper and lower respiratory tract, acute ulcerative gingivitis, nonspecific vaginitis, urogenital trichomoniasis in both male and female patients, Giardiasis, amebiosis in intestine and liver.
– Prevention of postoperative anaerobic infections especially those associated with colonic, gastrointestinal and gynecological surgeries.
Tight place, protect from light.
Use single oral dose with meals or after meals.
– Postoperative infections prophylaxis: For adults, a single 2g dose approximately 12 hours before surgery.
– Anaerobic infections treatment: For adults, an initial dose of 2g in the first day, followed by 1g daily given as a single dose or 500 mg twice daily. Duration of treatment is 5-6 days.
– Nonspecific vaginitis: For adults, 2g once daily for 2 consecutive days.
– Acute ulcerative gingivitis: For adults, a single dose of 2g.
– Urogenital trichomoniasis: Adults: a single dose of 2g. Sexual partners should be treated with the same dose and at the same time. Children: a single dose of 50-70mg/kg, this dose may be repeated once if needed.
– Giardiasis: Adults: a single dose of 2g. Children: a single dose of 50-75mg/kg, this dose may be repeated once if needed.
– Intestinal amebiosis: Adults: 2g daily for 2-3 days. Children: dose of 50-60mg/kg daily for 3 consecutive days.
– Hepatic amebiosis: Adults: Total doses ranging from 4,5g to 12g. An initial dose of 1,5 – 2g daily for 3 days. Treatment may be continued up to 6 days if a three-day single dose is ineffective. Children: 50-60mg/kg daily for 5 consecutive days.
