Augbidil is indicated in the treatment of infections caused by susceptible strains of the designated organisms in the conditions listed below:
– Urinary Tract Infections (uncomplicated and complicated).
– Lower Respiratory Tract Infections, including community acquired pneumonia and acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis.
– Upper Respiratory Tract Infections, such as sinusitis, otitis media and recurrent tonsillitis.
– Skin and Skin Structure Infection.
in tight containers, temperature not exceeding 25ºC, protect from light and moisture.
Augbidil 1 g is used in severe infections:
– Adult: 1 tablet each time x 2 times daily, not less than 5 days (5-10 days).
– Duration of therapy should not be exceeded 14 days without re-examination.
– The dosage should be adjusted in renal-impaired patients.
– Augbidil may be taken without regard to meals; however, absorption of clavulanate potassium is enhanced when Augbidil is administered at the start of a meal. To minimize the potential for gastrointestinal intolerance, Augbidil should be taken at the start of a meal.
