Store below 30ºC, at cool and dry place, protect from light.
Dosage of methyldopa must be adjusted according to the patient’s blood pressure response and tolerance.
– Initial dose: 250 mg/ time, 2 – 3 times/ day, for 2 days. Dosage may then increased or decreased at interval of at least 2 days until an adequate response is achieved
– Maintenance dose: 500mg to 2g daily given in 2 – 4 divided doses. The maximum dose is 3g daily.
– Initial dose: 125 mg /time x 2 times/ day. The doctor may gradually increase the dose if necessary, up to a maximum of 2 g a day.
– Initial dose: 10 mg/ kg of body weight daily, 2 – 4 divided doses.
– Maximum dose: 60 mg/kg of bodyweight daily or 3 g daily
