During a visit and field surveys in three provinces of Vietnam's Gia Lai, Kon Tum and BinhDinh; on 25th Feb, Thongsing Thammavong - Prime Minister of Lao People's Democratic Republic with a high-level delegation of Laos and Provincial Party - People's Committee of BinhDinh Province visited and worked in BinhDinh Pharmaceutical - Medical Equipment Company (Bidiphar).
In a solemn, intimatewelcoming atmosphere, Mr. Nguyen Van Qua - Chairman of the Board, General Director of the company reported Company activities, especially activities of the Company's investment in Laos over time. From 1994 until now,Bidiphar has made 3 projects in the southern provinces of Laos, investment cooperation in the field of pharmaceutical production, rubber plantation, coffee plants, pharmaceutical plants, ... the project has bring practical results for both the Laotian and Vietnamese sides. 1. Champasak BinhDinh Friendship Pharmaceutical Company (CBFPharma):
Founded in 1994, Headquartered in sack Champasak province, Laos.
Today CBF is the only company in Laos which wasLaos’s Ministry of Health certified GMP-ASEAN with the production line of essential drugs such as: fluids, injections, pills, liquid medications, .... CBF has provided approximately 50% market shares in Laos, average turnover of USD8 millionper year.
This is a collaborative investment model which was evaluated by two-state of economic efficiency, social efficiency and developed special friendship of the two countries Lao-Vietnam in general and two provinces BinhDinh- Champasack in particular. The Laos government has awarded many medals, First, Second, Third Class Labor Medals for the leaders and workers of Bidiphar.
2.Laos VietNam Friendship Rubber Company (LVF):
Laos VietNam Friendship Rubber Company (LVF), was founded in 2006, is headquartered in ThaTeng district in Se Kong province. Currently, the LVF has planted 3.000 ha of rubber; of which 1,000 ha was planted in 2006 will be tapping in 2012. Company is building a rubber processing plant of 6.000 tons / yearand expected to be completed and put into operation on May 2012.
3. Champasack BinhDinh Friendship Cofee Company (Coffee CBF):
CBF Coffee Company was founded in 2003, chartered capital of $ 4 million, headquartered in Pak xoang district, Champask Province, Laos. Currently the Company has planted 400 hectares of Arabica coffee. The annual output is about 2.500 tons.
Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong thanked cordial welcoming, dearly brother comradeship that Bidiphar’s leadership and staff gave for delegation, congratulated the company achievements achieved in recent years. The Prime Minister also praised the effective cooperation of Bidiphar especially in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing. The Prime Minister suggested Bidiphar continue application of processing technology, strong mining the rich source of Laos’s medical, create new products, help Laos people's health care. The Prime Minister also noted the Company's proposal and will direct the authorities’ settlement. The Laos government will continue to create conditions for VietNam businesses to invest in Laos, to bring practical results for both countries.
